DETOURS FOR JUNE 7 AND 8

Route 8 will not serve stops on 3rd Street and the stop on 4th Street just west of Brookwood Ave

HEARN AVENUE OVERPASS CONSTRUCTION DETOUR June 7 to June 8, 2025

Route 12 will not serve stops n Corby Ave between Baker Ave and Hearn Ave

NO DETOURS FOR ROUTES 1, 2B, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, 15, 18

Due to a major accident on 3rd Street Route 6 will detour onto Stony Point Rd to College Ave and back to Fulton Rd for both inbound and outbound directions. These delays are expected to last several hours.

Please be aware that the Rose Parade will cause detours for Routes 1 and 8. Below is a list of stops that CityBus will NOT serve.

Route 1:

Stop 80101 B St at Ross St 6:00AM until 6:00PM

Stop 80102 Mendocino Ave at Cherry St 6:00AM until 6:00PM

Route 8:  

Stop 80310 E St at 4^th St (Library) 6:00AM until 12:00PM

Stop 80525 4^th St at Brookwood Ave 6:00AM until 12:00PM

Stop 80341 3^rd St a E St (Library) 6:00AM until 12:00PM

Due to celebrations on Sebastopol Rd the Route 2, 2B, and 12 will be on a detour Tuesday, May 5 starting at 8:00AM. There will be NO service on Sebastopol Rd between Dutton Ave and Stony Point Rd for the Routes 2 and 2B. There will be NO service on West Ave between Leo Dr and Sebastopol Rd for the Route 12. Route 2/2B will serve stops on Stony Point Road between Sebastopol Road and Highway 12.

Every day should be Earth Day but for the nationally recognized day CityBus, Sonoma County Transit, and Petaluma Transit offer free fares. Earth Day is April 22 but free fares will be offered on April 25, 2026 so you can make an eco-friendly mode choice to get to all the amazing events around Sonoma County.

Please be aware that there will be NO CityBus service Sunday, April 5 in observance of Easter.

We are currently experiencing an outage with the system that provides real-time information for our buses. Unfortunately, we don’t not have an expected time for when this issue will be resolved. Thank you for your patience.

Please be aware that CityBus will operate on its Saturday schedule February 16, 2025.

Santa Rosa CityBus, Petaluma Transit, and Sonoma County Transit are offering fare-free rides on Wednesday, Feb. 4, in observance of Transit Equity Day commemorating the life and legacy of Rosa Parks and other transit trailblazers who pursued equitable transportation for everyone. This year, in addition to offering fare-free rides on Feb. 4, at 10 a.m., Santa Rosa CityBus will host a Commemorative Meet-up in the Downtown Second Street Transit Mall to celebrate Transit Equity Day. The public is invited to attend and hear Kirstyne Lange, Chair of the Political Action Committee for the local chapter of the NAACP and City of Santa Rosa Mayor Mark Stapp honor the individuals and events that helped advance equity in public transit and to discuss the future of public transit.
